The Busy Life of a High School Student
Have you ever gone on vacation in the middle of the school year and missed about 7 days of school? Well, I have. During my vacation, my mind was mainly on all the homework assignments that I had to makeup. I really couldn’t enjoy my vacation to fullest because my mind was still at Glenbrook North High School. The process of making up work is long and overwhelming. Before going on vacation, I asked all of my teachers to give me the assignments that I need to do. Only some of the teachers gave me the assignments and the work that I needed to do. As I was packing my bags with all the work that I needed to complete, a conflict came upon me. My parents told me that I wasn’t allowed to bring heavy textbooks in the bag. I thought my life was going to end the second I heard this from their mouths. Eventually, I only brought a few packets from my English class to my vacation. On my vacation I was really busy almost all the time. I attended 2 wedding ceremonies and went to other places. I was expecting to go to school the day that I came back, but another conflict had hit me. My flight was delayed. I was going to have to go to school only the next day I came back, which allowed me to be able to do my homework and finish all the work even though I was really tired. Catching up with all my classes and making up all my tests took me several days, but with motivation and confidence I was able to accomplish this task.

I couldn't imagine that missing one day is hard enough a week would take a long time to make up!
ReplyDeleteI could not imagine having to do so much work in such little time. I would be freaking out and be very mad at my mom for not letting me get the work done on vacation. It also really sucks that you had a bad time on your vacation. Any fun thing you did must have been ruined by the constant worry of the amount of work you had to do in such a little amount of time. I’m glad you got it all done even though it must have been tough.
